"That Face" is great! Frank, Jr.'s phrasing, intonation, interpretation and selection of sings is just superb. I only wish there were more albums available. I would buy them all! In today's world of few really good singers, Frank, Jr. is one of the best. He should be making more records. He's a musician as well as a wonderful vocalist. -- Junior is a credit to Senior
In a (hyphenated) word: tone-deaf. Straight from the 50's, an antediluvian throwback with equal measures of quavery intonation and jaw-dropping misogyny. The band kicks, no question; if the lyrics didn't exist and the singer were more accomplished this could pass for listenable Nelson Riddle-esque Vegas swing. But it's been crafted in a bubble of cluelessness, an unapologetic time capsule that might be forgivable if it were actually of the era or showed the slighest hint of recognition that it borders on parody. It would be heartening to think that people have advanced beyond this mindset. Depressing in so many ways. -- Troglodyte Music
This is a great CD. It is really refreshing that the music isn't just a re-hash of his father's music. It is nice to hear big band music with some more modern themes.

It surprises me that there are people giving this album negative feedback. My response to this is that of Sibelius, "Pay no attention to what critics say. No statue has ever been put up to a critic."

I sincerely hope that Frank will produce a few more albums, this is truly a delight. -- Hopefully this is only a start
I was very impressed with the younger Sinatra's first new release in years. Containing a poignant--and buoyant--mix of a few standards and a few more modern cuts, Frank Jr.'s phrasing is very good and the arrangements are excellent. Give this a try. If you like real, classy and "cool" music, you won't miss with "That Face." If only this kind of wonderful music could find a larger audience. As a 42-year old former rocker, it pains me that style and talent---such as this CD displays---just don't hold much appeal in popular music anymore. -- Quite good....
Well I don't love it but I don't dislike it. I picked 5 stars just because of the arrangements, material and the mix. The sound is wonderful if you like the full big band stuff. Franks vocals range from very good, nice to ok. It is nice to know that someone is carrying the big band flame. It would be terrible if we lost someone to carry on with the songs and the sound. With a few more spins I may really, really like this album:) -- I like it
