Released to coincide with the tenth anniversary of Frank Sinatra’s passing (May 14, 1998), Nothing But The Best salutes “The Voice” with an essential single-disc compilation of hits. It features 21 legendary songs from “The Chairman Of The Board,” plus a previously unissued version of “Body And Soul.” The collection is part of an international initiative between the newly created Frank Sinatra Enterprises (FSE), Warner Home Video, MGM Home Entertainment, Turner Classic Movies, and the United States Postal Service to honor Frank Sinatra, whose music and movies had an everlasting impact on popular culture. For a limited time, Nothing But The Best will contain a collectible, commemorative Sinatra stamp with official USPS first-day issue cancellation.

Nothing But the Best....that's the title and that's the score. This "Best of" collection contains 20 tunes from the later pop orientated portion of Sinatra's career. Plenty of hits and plenty of fun....Strangers in the Night,Summerwind and Something Stupid...Sinatra's hits from the 60's are there. This is the prefect album for the more casual Frank fan. The "Reprise" numbers of Sinatra the "lover" and "swinger" bring back the days of the "Rat Pack" and "Ocean's Eleven". If your the Jazz and Big Band super fan of Sinatra this album will not do for you....but for the young and others it's a lot of fun. -- Nothin' But the Best
I checked a bunch of other cd's and this one seemed to have the most Sinatra hits that I wanted. I was not dissapointed. Every song on this cd is a great one. -- good collection
I tend to be basis toward Sinatra. So do not take my opinion with great
assent. Frank sinatra is one one the all time greats of the music industry. his voice and come across only to remind you of the better days. It seems when sinatra Sings he is telling you a story you can relate to .
I do not se how you can loose on such a great singer and performer.
Sincerely
Bob Geco -- Frank Sanarta. ( nothing but the best)
What else can be said of this American music icon and former teen idol? I bought this CD as a Christmas gift for my father-in-law. He loves it, but he's also 82 years old. I have nothing against "Ole Blue Eyes," except he was not a part of my generation's music, and he was not a staple of my family's music cycle when I was growing up. Interestingly, every song on this CD is something familiar, and if I hear a Sinatra song on the radio I don't leave it on for long. I put this CD in my carosel along with Bing Crosby and Dean Martin, other former greats so every now and then a song plays if my father-in-law is visiting. It is a real treat for him. That's what is important. Share your musical interests with others, both young and old, and don't exclude what was their hayday favorites either. Fair is fair, and adopting that attitude we will all be happy. -- What else can be said?
The Man,The Voice.Nothing more can be said about Frank Sinatra.Just listen. His song is worth a thousand words. -- The Best
